In a speech broadcast this week on Iran’s First Channel, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, claimed that “the arrogant West and the United States find it intolerable, that Iran is progressing and prospering.” He claimed that all the pressure on Iran is due to its progress and its refusal to submit to the bullying of the West, And he has gone against all American presidents since Jimmy Carter for opposing Iran, according to a video translated by the MEMRI channel that broadcasts speeches by Muslim and Palestinian leaders.
Khamenei also called incumbent US President Joe Biden a “crazy guy” and ordered the audience to chant anti-America chants. “Death to America” shouted the crowd. All American presidents, in the decades since the Islamic Revolution in 1979, have fought the Islamic Republic on this front, he said. “It doesn’t matter where they are now,” Khamenei said.
He continued, “Some have fallen dead, and some have been thrown into the dustbin of history, even if they are still alive, from the Democrats Carter, Clinton and Obama, to the Republicans Reagan and Bush, this includes Donald Trump and this poor incumbent who wants to save Iran and the Iranians, as Poor and demented Biden.”
He also said: “Anyone who fails to see the enemy’s desires and cooperates with him, must wake him up, and must be told: Be sure not to become the enemy’s mouthpiece. As the Imam (Khomeini) said, turn your every shout against America.”
