The Libyan International Theatre and Arts Troupe is participating in the activities of the “24 Hours of Continuous Theatre” Festival in its 22nd session, held in the city of El Kef in Tunisia, through its theatrical performance “Dementia”.
The participating theatrical work is written and directed by Loussim Bourouis, and the cast includes Ahmed Al-Matradi, Ayman Nahoul, and Mahmoud Al-Warfali, with voice acting by Ahmed Al-Rayani, theatrical management by Munsef Al-Majbri, and lighting by Loussam Al-Majbri. The show will be presented on June 30.
More than 40 theatrical performances from Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Morocco, Palestine, Jordan, France, and Senegal are participating in the festival.
The play deals, in an experimental manner, with the suffering of the Libyan theatre artist in particular, and the Arab one in general, by shedding light on the difficulties he faces on both the artistic and social levels.
The festival includes other events, as a roundtable will be held under the title “Where is the Arab Theater in the Gaza Genocide?”, developments in the situation in Gaza, and the role of the Arab Theater in solidarity with the Palestinian cause.
