On the occasion of Janmashtami, while ‘Stree 2’ has made a grand entry into the 400 crore club at the Indian box office, ‘Khel Khel Mein’ and ‘Veda’ have fallen down on this festive occasion. These films, which have already proved to be disasters, have suffered a huge loss on the second Monday after the weekend. Akshay Kumar’s multi-starrer ‘Khel Khel Mein’, which was earning crores for the last two days, has once again reached millions on Monday. However, it has definitely earned a little more than last Friday. According to the report of sacnilk, ‘Stree 2’ has made a net collection of Rs 18.50 crore in the country on the second Monday. In 12 days, this film has made a net business of Rs 403.05 crore in the country and a gross earning of 571.75 crore worldwide. But in contrast, the condition of the other two films released on the occasion of Independence Day is miserable.
Stree 2 Collection Day 12: ‘Stree 2’ created a stir again on Janmashtami, the film reached the threshold of 600 crores
‘Khel Khel Mein’ Box Office Collection Day 12
‘Khel Khel Mein’, directed by Mudassar Aziz, did a business of Rs 1.75 crore in the country a day earlier on Sunday. But on Monday, its earnings have fallen drastically. The film did a business of only Rs 85 lakh on Monday. Thus, in 12 days, it has so far made a net collection of only Rs 24 crore. Whereas its budget is Rs 100 crore.
‘Veda’ Box Office Collection Day 12
On the other hand, Nikhil Advani’s directed action film ‘Veda’ suffered the biggest loss on Monday. Despite Janmashtami, this film has earned only 34 lakh rupees on the 12th day. The total collection of this film starring John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh is now Rs 19.59 crore. While its budget is said to be Rs 51 crore.
The next 10 days are special for ‘Khel Khel Mein’ and ‘Veda’
In view of the bumper earnings of ‘Stree 2’, the number of shows of ‘Veda’ and ‘Khel Khel Mein’ has also reduced drastically in the theatres at this time. On an average, both these films are running in 4-5 shows in a multiplex. There is no big release in theatres before Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Emergency’ on 6 September. In such a situation, ‘Khel Khel Mein’ and ‘Veda’ will have to spend the next 10 days crawling like this. Both the films have proved to be the biggest disaster of 2024. Therefore, now the only chance they have is to minimize their losses.
