Khénifra: Presentation of the achievements of the 3rd phase of the INDH

The meeting, initiated under the theme “Assessment and achievements of the third phase”, was attended by the governor of the province of Khénifra, Mohamed FEttah, local authorities, members of the provincial committee for human development, and various partners of the INDH including civil society actors.

The participants in this meeting stressed the need to continue the approach adopted by the province of Khenifra to consolidate the philosophy, foundations and objectives of the INDH, through the implementation of the axes and programs of phase III, following a holistic, proactive approach with the identification of needs, in partnership with local stakeholders.

Regarding the first program relating to catching up on deficits in basic infrastructure and social services, a total of 43 projects with a total cost of 35.63 million dirhams (MDH) were programmed between 2019 and 2022 to ensure the supply of more than 56 douars in rural areas (45,000 inhabitants) with drinking water.

As part of the support program for people in precarious situations, 77 projects with a total cost of nearly 30.05 MDH were carried out for the benefit of more than 5,000 people belonging to vulnerable groups (patients suffering from renal failure and without resources, disabled people without income, needy elderly people, women in situations of extreme vulnerability).

Also, a total of 116 projects with a total cost of 48.15 MDH, of which the contribution of the INDH amounts to 35.20 MDH were implemented within the framework of program III relating to the improvement of income and economic inclusion of young people.

As for the fourth program relating to the boosting of human capital of rising generations, the number of projects carried out reached 138 projects requiring financing of approximately 79.88 MDH.

The results of phase III of the INDH demonstrate the extent of the efforts made by the various stakeholders in the fight against poverty, insecurity and social exclusion and demonstrate the positive achievements, in particular the improvement in the standard of living, the quality of education and health services.
