jpnn.comSURABAYA – The figure of the Governor of East Java (Jatim) for the 2019-2024 period, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, has strengthened as the best female leader figure. Khofifah’s success in leading East Java has been able to inspire young people.
Airlangga University (Unair) Student President Aulia Thaariq Akbar said, Khofifah has succeeded in becoming a female leader with brilliant achievements. The impact is increasingly encouraging the presence of great progress for East Java.
“She certainly represents gender equality because the representation of women is also capable of becoming a great leader of East Java and has quite complex human resources,” said Aulia in a press release, Wednesday (14/8).
He added that Khofifah was so good at playing her role as a female leader with various great achievements. One period of Khofifah leading East Java was so successful in bringing many benefits to the lives of the community.
For example, looking at data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the poverty rate in East Java in the period 2021-2023 fell by 383,920 people. This figure is the highest among other provinces throughout Indonesia.
The extreme poverty rate in East Java in 2020 was 4.4 percent or equivalent to 1,812,210 people, dropping to 0.82 percent or equivalent to 331,970 people by 2023.
This means that Khofifah succeeded in reducing extreme poverty by 3.58 percent or the equivalent of 1,480,140 people.
“Seeing Mrs. Khofifah, she is certainly a great representation of how women should be powerful,” he concluded. (man/jpnn)
