The federal government had asked the KP government for proposals to regularize NDP vehicles, as customs duties and taxes on NDP vehicles are under the jurisdiction of the federal government.

According to the proposals, registered bargain dealers will be allowed to register vehicles with 10% additional duty, profiled vehicles will be eligible for regularization under the scheme, vehicle owners will be allowed to sell vehicles for 5 years. .

The KP government has asked that the status of filers and non-filers should also be reviewed, most of the vehicles profiled are utility vehicles, luxury vehicles are less.

According to the proposals, the filer on 800 cc vehicle will pay 1 lakh, non-filer will pay 1 lakh 50 thousand proposed customs duty, on 801 to 1000 cc vehicle filer will pay 2 lakh, non-filer will pay 3 lakh duty, 1001 to 1300 cc. Filer 2 lakh 50 thousand on vehicle, non-filer 3.5 lakh duty, filer 5 lakh 50 thousand on 2500 cc vehicle from 2001, non-filer 8 lakh duty, filer 7 lakh on vehicle above 2500 cc, non-filer 10 lakh duty. will pay

The proposed registration fee of 800 cc vehicle will be 15 thousand, 1000 cc 20 thousand and 1300 cc 30 thousand, 2500 cc 1 lakh, and above cc vehicles the proposed registration fee will be 2 lakh.

The proposals also said that joint facilitation centers of Customs, Police, Excise, National Bank should be established in all districts, payment of full registration fee and customs duty, easy installment plan for low income earners. should be created, and a comprehensive public awareness campaign should be launched regarding the scheme.

For the scheme, the provincial government also sought federal funding to speed up the profiling, with proposals saying that owners who violate the scheme would have their vehicles impounded and fined.
