ERA 6.54 in 36 MLB games… ERA 5.31 in 8 games this year
Professional baseball KIA Tigers recruited new foreign pitcher Adam Oler.
KIA announced on the 16th, “We signed a contract with Oller for a total of $1 million, including $200,000 in down payment, $600,000 in annual salary, and $200,000 in options.”
Oller, from Texas, USA, is a right-handed pitcher with a height of 193 cm and a weight of 102 kg.
KIA introduced, “Oller is a player who uses a powerful fast ball in the 150 km/h range and a breaking ball with a large angle, and stands out for his ability to strike out.”
Oller played for three seasons in the Major League Baseball (MLB) and four seasons in the minor leagues.
He appeared in 36 major league games (23 as a starter) and recorded 5 wins, 13 losses, 1 hold, and an earned run average (ERA) of 6.54. This year, he started all eight games for the Miami Marlins and recorded 2 wins, 4 losses, and an ERA of 5.31.
In the minor league, Oller recorded 21 wins, 9 losses, 2 holds, and an ERA of 5.01 in a total of 57 games (45 as a starter), and in the 2024 season, he appeared in 18 games (9 as a starter) and left with an ERA of 5.30 with 4 wins, 1 loss, and 2 holds.
A KIA official said, “We hope that Oller will serve as a one-two punch as a starting pitcher along with James Nail. He said, “He is a player with a lot of starting experience as he appeared as a starter in all of the games he played in the major league this season,” and added, “I expect that he will be a great addition to the team by playing a part in the starting rotation next season.”
