Hapoel Haifa undergoes a facelift in the defensive squad. After the signing of Romanian stopper Andrei Miron, Ali Kiel asked to be released out of a desire to advance in the cold and not remain as the fourth stopper in the defense center hierarchy (remember, Capilotto and Louis Taha also signed with the Reds from Carmel), as happened last season.

The talented Kiel is considered a favorite among Hapoel Haifa fans, and he has 14 appearances in the league in which he showed good ability. The club claim that the player has an option until the 15th of the month to decide whether to keep the 26-year-old brake. At the same time, the one who will certainly not continue in Carmel, is Ben Wahba who has finished his career at the club and is being returned by Bnei Reina and a number of other teams.

Those in question are Ness Zamir and Dor Malul, who have completed contracts. The team is very angry at the veteran defender who chose to criticize the club’s behavior towards him towards the end of the season, when he was not involved in several games, which in retrospect meant that the team did not have to exercise the option on him.

Regardless, team coach Nir Klinger is looking to strengthen in a number of positions with the main ones being the left defender position and the back midfielder. There is currently no decision on the identity of the second goalkeeper who will replace Tal Bumstein. The two main options are Niv Antman from the Ness Ziona section and Daniel Benish from Hapoel Raanana.
