Kim Heechul, a member of the group ‘Super Junior’, revealed that he had lent 500 million won to acquaintances and never received it back.
The video released on the 9th by YouTube channel ‘Studio Suje’s’ ‘Eat Breakfast and Go 2’ showed Kim Heechul appearing as a guest.
In the video, MC Jang Sung-kyu, who went to Kim Hee-chul’s house, said, “I was surprised by Hee-chul’s house, but also by the fact that he drank three bottles of alcohol worth 1.2 million won at a drinking party last time.”
“Seok-Hoon said he wanted to buy a bottle, but I said, ‘I’ll pay for it all. I have so much cash, I can never spend it in my entire life,’” he confessed.
Kim Hee-chul then said coolly, “Is this how Seo Jang-hoon and Kang Ho-dong feel? They really have plenty of money.”
He then explained, “Even though I lent him a lot of money, I didn’t do business.” Jang Seong-gyu chimed in, saying, “He said he lent him a lot of money, so I couldn’t refuse.”
Jang Sung-kyu revealed, “My current KakaoTalk message is ‘If someone asks me to borrow money, block me immediately.’ On Chuseok, Lunar New Year, and my birthday, they say ‘Happy New Year’ and ‘Congratulations,’ but when I say ‘Heechul. But,’ I immediately think, ‘That’s money.'”
Kim Heechul added, “When I first debuted, I lent money to the kids I played with out of good intentions and loyalty, but I never got it back.”
Jang Sung-kyu asked, “Have you ever calculated how much money you have not received so far?”
Kim Heechul said, “If you count all the unpaid amounts, it would be around this much?” and showed the number ‘5’ with his hand.
When Jang Sung-kyu asked, “Is it 500 million won?” Kim Hee-chul replied, “Yes. Only Shindong paid back the money.”
Meanwhile, Kim Hee-chul debuted in the 2005 KBS 2TV youth drama ‘Sharp’. He also appeared as a member of Super Junior, which debuted later that year.
