Kim Tae-heon (35), a former member of the group ‘Children of Empire’, revealed that he is looking for his older sister.
On the MBN show ‘Special Scoop World’ that aired on the 11th, Kim Tae-heon was shown looking for a woman. It turned out that he was looking for his older sister who had been missing for 8 years.
Kim Tae-heon said, “I suddenly lost contact with my sister.” He added, “When I was in the military, my sister said something had happened, so I took a leave of absence and went to see her. Then, I was discharged from the military, and I haven’t been able to contact her at all since then.”
After his debut, Kim Tae-heon paid off his father’s debt with the money he received, and used the remaining money to open a store for his older sister. However, when the store went bankrupt, his older sister disappeared.
He confessed, “I think it was probably because of money,” about the reason his older sister disappeared. “The store that my aunt and I helped with went bankrupt. We lost contact after that. It’s already been eight years since then,” he recalled.
During the past two years, when he was struggling financially, Tae-heon Kim was unable to find his sister. As soon as he started earning an income, he started looking for her.
Kim Tae-heon also contacted his sister’s middle school and high school friends and asked, “Have you contacted your sister by any chance?”
The older sister’s acquaintance replied, “We talk every day. When I contact her, she doesn’t have the number and she doesn’t answer (and she doesn’t contact me),” Kim Tae-heon said, “I haven’t heard from her in 8 years either.” The older sister’s acquaintance expressed concern, saying, “How can we find her?”
Kim Tae-heon said, “I think my sister is more important than money. Losing money is nothing. I can earn money again anyway. I wish I could stop playing hide-and-seek (with my sister).”
Kim Tae-heon also confessed his family history. He lost his father in a car accident when he was 8, and his mother died of breast cancer when he was in the third year of middle school. Kim Tae-heon said, “When my mother passed away, I couldn’t let her go. When I held my mother’s urn while going to the charnel house, I really didn’t want to let her go. It was warm, and that warmth still remains in my hands,” and shed tears.
