The Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO) announced on the 7th that Kim Yeon-kyung of the women’s division received 25 votes and Heo Soo-bong of the men’s division received 11 votes out of 31 votes cast by reporters and was selected as MVP.
Kim Yeon-kyung ranked high in major attack indicators this season, including 1st in attack (51.94% success rate), 2nd in scoring (123 points), and 6th in serve (0.3 per set).
Thanks to Kim Yeon-kyung’s performance, her team Heungkuk Life Insurance is ranked first in the league with 12 consecutive wins as the opening season. On the 10th, they will challenge Pepper Savings Bank for their 13th consecutive win, the longest winning streak in the regular league.
