The social projects developed by the Kimbanguista Church in the country dominated the audience that the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, granted this Wednesday to the leader of the religious institution, Kisolekele Paul.

Leaving the meeting, Kisolokele Paul highlighted the construction of a higher health school in Mbanza Kongo, in Zaire province, whose first stone was laid last June.

The leader of the church, with more than one million followers in Angola, underlined the fact that there is an excellent partnership between the Kimbanguists and the Angolan State.

As for the higher health school, it is being built on the outskirts of the city of Mbanza Kongo, in an area of 400 square metres. The infrastructure will have six classrooms and laboratories.

At the time of laying the first stone, the person responsible for the work, Alberto José, informed that each room should accommodate 36 students in each of the two planned shifts, which should total more than 400 students per day.

The Kimbanguista Church is a Christian religion, founded in 1921 by Simão Kimbangu, in the then Belgian Congo, now the Democratic Republic of Congo. The founder of the church was born on September 12, 1887. AFL/AL/ADR
