In a heartwarming development, King Charles is reportedly eager to embrace his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, for the first time on his upcoming birthday in November. According to royal expert Angela Levin, the King hopes to have Harry and Meghan’s children present for the celebration, but ultimately, it is the Sussexes’ decision.

The ongoing conflicts between the royal family and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have intensified tensions within the inner circle, resulting in Archie and Lilibet not yet having the opportunity to meet their grandfather. Despite the strained relations, Levin believes that the couple, who currently reside in Montecito, may also wish to attend the King’s birthday festivities in the UK. Furthermore, she sees no reason why Markle wouldn’t be invited.

However, it remains uncertain whether a reunion between the Sussexes and the Firm is likely at this time, especially considering Markle’s absence at Charles’ coronation earlier this year in May. While Harry made a brief solo trip across the pond to attend the ceremony, his visit lasted only 28 hours, leaving his family puzzled by the brevity of his stay.

Furthermore, Harry’s seating arrangement at the event raised eyebrows, as he found himself placed between Princess Eugenie’s husband, Jack Brooksbank, and Queen Elizabeth II’s cousin Princess Alexandra in the third row. This seemingly low-profile placement further fueled speculations of a strained relationship.

More recently, reports surfaced alleging that Harry and Meghan were excluded from an intimate gathering held by the Royal Family to commemorate the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing. Despite being in Europe for the Invictus Games the following day, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were allegedly not extended invitations to the event at Balmoral Castle on September 8.

As the exiled royals prepare to touch down in Germany 24 hours after the Balmoral meeting, sources claim that no outreach has been made to them. Their trip to Germany will mark their first joint European appearance since the funeral of the late monarch on September 19, 2022.

With tensions lingering and the relationship between Harry, Meghan, and the rest of the royal family in a fragile state, it remains to be seen if King Charles will have the joy of hugging his beloved grandchildren on his birthday. Nevertheless, their meeting could potentially signify a step towards reconciliation and healing within the family.
