King Charles III of Great Britain is planning a major trip abroad despite his cancer. The monarch (75) will travel to Australia and Samoa with his wife Queen Camilla (76) in October, announced Buckingham Palace in London. He will refrain from visiting New Zealand, even though he is head of state there and in Australia. His doctors advised him to avoid such a detailed program at this time.

Charles – like his daughter-in-law Princess Kate (42) – is being treated for an unspecified cancer. After a break, he is now traveling a lot again. In May he traveled to France to attend the D-Day commemorations. Now follows a long-distance trip that has been planned for a long time.

In close cooperation with the heads of government of Australia and New Zealand and given the pressure of time and logistics, it was agreed to limit the trip to Samoa and Australia, the Palace said.
