India’s Test captain Virat Kohli has slipped two places to ninth in the ICC Test batting rankings.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) yesterday released a new ranking list of Test cricketers.

Indian batsman Lokesh Rahul, who scored a century in the first Test against South Africa, has moved up 18 places to 31st in the batting chart.

Captain Virat Kohli dropped 2 places to 9th. Virat Kohli continues to falter in batting. It is noteworthy that he has not scored even a hundred in the last two years.

Australia’s Marnus Lapushen is ranked No. 1 in the ICC Test rankings with 915 points. Joe Root is second with 900 points, Kane Williamson is third with 879 points, Steve Smith is fourth with 877 points and Rohit Sharma is fifth with 789 points.

David Warner is in 6th place with 780 points, Sri Lanka’s Timothy Karunaratne is in 7th place with 754 points, Babur Assam is in 8th place with 750 points, Virat Kohli is in 9th place with 747 points and Travis Head is in 10th place with 731 points.

Australia captain Pat Cummins tops the bowling chart with 902 points, followed by India’s Ravichandran Aswin with 873 points. Pakistan’s Shahin Afridi is in 3rd place, Tim Saudi is in 4th place and James Anderson is in 5th place.
