Manama: The cabinet assessed that the visit of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Saudi Arabia was a success. Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, while presiding over the cabinet meeting, stated that the meeting and discussion with the Saudi ruler, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Suud, was to strengthen the relationship between the two countries and expand cooperation in various fields.

The two leaders also shared ideas for enhancing strong ties and mutual cooperation among the GCC nations. He also met with Saudi Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Ideas for strengthening peace in the region and internationally were also raised during the discussion. The possibility of ending the war between Russia and Ukraine was also discussed. The results of various development and economic schemes implemented in connection with the economic stimulus package were evaluated. The Cabinet expressed its gratitude to those in various sectors who stood united for the economic development of the country.

The Finance Minister presented a report on economic growth in the second quarter of 2022. A growth of 6.9 percent has been recorded in the second quarter. This period recorded the highest growth rate since 2011. It has been decided to sign a cooperation agreement between various government agencies and the Ministry of Power and Water Affairs to support renewable energy projects. It has also been decided to give first priority to the implementation of 23 projects under the priority order of government schemes.
