Watan Al-Youm: His Majesty King Abdullah II participated, over the past two days, in the Economic Forum in Sun Valley, Idaho, USA.
On the sidelines of the forum, His Majesty held separate meetings with heads and representatives of major international and American companies, some of which were attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.
Opportunities for cooperation with the private sector in Jordan and investment in vital sectors were discussed. The meetings included CEOs of companies operating in the sectors of mining, clothing and knitwear, industrial and engineering technology, tourism, education and investment.
The meetings touched on the need to strengthen partnerships between the public and private sectors at the international level, to address the repercussions of global crises on food and energy security, mitigate the repercussions of climate change, as well as strengthen humanitarian efforts in dealing with the refugee crisis.
The Sun Valley Economic Forum is held annually in the United States of America, in July, with the participation of international political, economic and media leaders, to discuss the most important global developments and their economic impacts.
