by time news

Adisi Albana, a 29-year-old resident of Kiryat Ata, was found unconscious with no signs of life after allegedly being stabbed multiple times in her home. Despite the attempts of the MDA team to revive her using CPR, she was pronounced dead at the scene. The police suspect domestic violence and are searching for the victim’s partner, as the two had no children. MDA paramedics who arrived at the scene described the woman as being without a pulse or breathing. Hadas Danieli Yelin, CEO of the Women’s Lobby, criticized the government for not prioritizing women’s safety, particularly after the recent repeal of a law allowing electronic handcuffing for perpetrators of domestic violence. Eight women have been murdered this year alone, making it a national tragedy that must be addressed urgently. Verdit Danziger, CEO of the LA Association for Violence Against Women added that domestic violence is a crisis that needs to be treated as a national priority, with sufficient funding and resources allocated to eradicate it. Women’s blood should not be considered a wasteland, and the government must take immediate and urgent action to address this issue.

Suspected murder: Adisi Albana, a 29-year-old resident of Kiryat Ata, was found this evening (Friday) unconscious with no signs of life, after allegedly being stabbed several times in her home. The MDA team that arrived at the scene performed CPR on her without success and had to pronounce her dead. The police began investigating the incident, as the suspicion is an incident of domestic violence, and are conducting a hunt for the victim’s partner, who is suspected of the act. The two had no children.

MDA paramedic Hagi Kolton and MDA emergency medicine medic Amir Salomon said: “When we arrived at the scene, we joined the police and fire forces who broke into the apartment. The woman was unconscious without a pulse and without breathing, and after medical examinations she was pronounced dead.”

Hadas Danieli Yelin, CEO of the Women’s Lobby, said in response to the suspicion of the murder of the woman from Kiryat Ata: “We refuse to believe that we are again forced to eulogize another woman who was murdered. Three women in the space of a week. Eight women who have been murdered since the beginning of the year. A sharp increase compared to the previous year. In the same week during which the coalition overturned the electronic handcuffing law, a life-saving law. The government decided with one vote to abandon the women, and the results on the ground. We have already run out of words. Will the government hear our cry this time? Or are they too busy crushing the justice system?”

She further added: “Minister Ben Gabir, you are the one who stopped the bill – this is your shift. You chose to neglect the women’s blood. We call on you to take responsibility and take immediate emergency actions to deal with the situation.”

The CEO of the LA Association for Violence Against Women, Verdit Danziger, also commented on the murder of the woman, saying: “Another woman from Kiryat Ata was added to the number of women victims of domestic terrorism, apparently stabbed by her partner, in all parts of her body. Women’s blood has become the wasteland and while violence against women has become a scourge, the state does not treat the phenomenon as a national priority, does not allocate budgets and resources to eradicate the phenomenon, and just this week the Knesset rejected the bill for electronic handcuffs, which can protect women from their violent husbands. It’s a national tragedy, but the decision makers in the country don’t have time to deal with the burning problems of domestic violence, but only with legal reforms.”
