After Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, KL Rahul is considered as the main batsman in the Indian team. Rahul, a wicketkeeper and opening batsman, is one of the players that India cares about in all three formats. But recently he has been plagued by injuries. Mohammad Shami is the pacer who is currently not providing much support in the India T20 format. Mohammed Shami, who was part of the Indian team and played in the 2021 T20 World Cup, now has no place in the T20 team. After Rohit Sharma became the captain, Shami is not given much support in T20. The 31-year-old has not been given a single T20 match this year. There may be no comeback for Shami.
Shami gets more support in India Tests. Even though he is supported in ODIs too, the chances of getting more chances are very low. A comeback in the T20 format is unlikely for Shami as young bowlers need to be nurtured in limited overs. In the last IPL, Shami performed well for the champions Gujarat Titans.

Shikhar Dhawan is the player that India is considering for T20 only in the absence of superstars. India have not considered Dhawan for a single T20 match in 2022. Currently, Dhawan is being considered for ODIs only by India. The current team management is not much interested in the slow batting of Dhawan, who is a regular opener. Therefore, it is very unlikely that India will consider Dhawan for the T20 format.
He last played in the T20 series against Sri Lanka in July 2021. He also scored 460 runs in 14 matches in the last IPL. Dhawan’s performance was at an excellent average of 38.33. However, the Indian team management does not have much faith in Dhawan as he cannot capitalize on the power play.
