Shakib Al Hasan was dropped from the XI of the Major League Cricket Tournament due to his poor performance. The Los Angeles Knight Riders were without him on Wednesday.
The time was not going well for the superstar of Bangladesh. Participating in this competition for the first time, Shakib’s performance was absolutely lackluster. The Los Angeles Knight Riders picked him up with high hopes but failed to live up to expectations. Due to which the franchise kept Shakib on the bench in their sixth match.
Only 60 runs came from his bat in 4 matches. Got only 1 wicket. The left-handed batsman was dismissed for zero runs in the last match. He scored 7 runs in the previous match. Earlier, Shakib scored 18 runs in the first match and 35 runs in the second match.
After taking 1 wicket in the first match on July 5, the left-arm spinner is wicketless in three consecutive matches. But hopefully, Khruche was not too worried. He did not score more than thirty runs in any match. However, 37 Peruno Shakib failed to fulfill the expectations of the fans from him in bat-ball.
Despite not being able to perform, Shakib says the experience of Major League cricket is great. He also sees the bright future of this competition. Los Angeles Knight Riders is owned by Shahrukh Khan’s team Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL. Shakib was a regular face in Kolkata. Won the title twice for Kolkata. His friendship with the franchise is old. Hugging the Knight Risers jersey, an excited Shakib said, ‘It feels great to be reunited with this family. Very excited to be here. Missed the first season of Major League Cricket. Delighted to join the second season. Support the Knight Riders. Hopefully we will win the trophy here and give you the trophy.’
