jpnn.comJAKARTA – PDI-P politician Puan Maharani has officially become Chair of the DPR RI for the 2024-2029 period after it was decided at a meeting at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (1/10).
The PDI Perjuangan faction, such as UU MD3, has the right to nominate the Chairman of the DPR RI, because the political party with the white-snouted bull symbol wins the 2024 election.
Interim DPR Chairman Guntur Sasono, who chaired the meeting on Tuesday, said that the PDI Perjuangan proposed Puan as chairman of the legislators in Senayan for the 2024-2029 period.
“Sister Puan Maharani from the PDI Perjuangan faction is Chair of the DPR RI,” said Guntur, Tuesday.
Apart from Puan, the meeting also revealed the names of the Deputy Chairmen of the DPR RI proposed by Golkar, Gerindra, NasDem and PKB.
Guntur said the Golkar faction was the second winner of the 2024 election, proposing the name Adies Kadir.
“Brother Adies Kadir from the Golkar Faction as Deputy Chair of the DPR RI,” said the senior Democrat politician.
Guntur continued that the Gerindra faction as the third winner of the 2024 election proposed the name Sufmi Dasco Ahmad.
