The US actress Estelle Harris, known from the cult series “Seinfeld”, is dead. Harris died at the age of 93, the news channel CNN reported on Sunday, citing her manager.
Born in New York in 1928, Harris began with roles in the theater and then worked as a voice actress, comedian, film and television, among other things. She is best known for a supporting role in the TV series Seinfeld, in which she played the mother of George Costanza (played by Jason Alexander). (dpa)
