Kochi> Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the Petta-SN junction line of Kochi Metro to the nation. The Prime Minister also inaugurated the construction of the second phase of the Metro, which will extend to Kakanad Infopark. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan welcomed.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan asked the Prime Minister for central assistance in the transport development projects in Kerala. He added that the central government should take a decision on the projects submitted by the state without any delay
The Prime Minister also inaugurated Kurupantara-Kottayam-Chingavanam double track of railway, Kollam-Punalur single line electrification, special train flag-off and renovation works of Ernakulam South, North and Kollam stations.
