Kodaikanal school girl death: CPCID ordered to probe | Dynamics

Kodaikanal: The CPCID has been directed by the DGP, Silenthrababu, to inquire into the death of a student at a school in Bachalur near Kodaikanal.
Sathyaraj’s daughter Krithika is from Ganesha Temple Street, Bachalur, Dindigul district. She is a fifth grader in a government middle school here. Dec. 15 fainted during school break. The body was charred and left on campus in a life-threatening condition while students searched. He died on the way to treatment.
DSP, Srinivasan conducted the inquiry. DIG, Vasantha Kumari, SB Srinivasan inspected the spot. The forensic department, Mopanai, said police conducted a week-long investigation. Parents and members of the public have been protesting for days, demanding the arrest of those involved.
No progress has been made in the case as it is not known how and by whom the incident took place. Following this, the DGP ordered the case to be transferred to the CPCID for investigation.
