“Koh-Lanta, the sacred fire”: two outgoing for an episode that draws the line

We had forgotten him but he wanted to come back. The 13th episode of “Koh-Lanta, the sacred fire”, broadcast this Tuesday evening, May 16 on TF 1, marks the great return of the talisman. Of uneven use during the first part of the adventure, missing since reunification, this protective object comes out of Denis Brogniart’s hat from the game of comfort, opportunely renamed “Ordeal of the Sacred Fire”.

But beware ! During his little vacation, the piece of wood gained “expanded power”. It no longer only protects its holder or the person to whom it is transmitted. It now makes its wearer and an adventurer of his choice untouchable. Please do not ask questions.

Here, Esteban is back

This sudden reappearance delights Laura, winner of the competition, and her chosen one, Quentin. As for Tania, good last, she leaves with a voice against her at the next council, convened in the wake of the test by Denis Brogniart. Supposed to create the surprise, this string had already been activated by the production during the 6th episode of this season. Its effect is further eroded by the obligation previously made to all adventurers to come and compete with their backpack, an indication of a potential departure from the game.

The importance of this advice without totem is also reduced from the outset. The facilitator indeed announces that the eliminated – we will learn that it is Tania – will only be ousted. Remembering the start of the episode, we quickly deduce that the youngest of the adventure will have to face Esteban, who has disappeared from the radar for about thirty minutes.

Pushed out with his partner Clémence last week, the “Chartres hawker” miraculously got a second chance after a duel won against his comrade in misfortune. One would have thought that this single victory would allow him to return to the camp. He will finally have to triumph over a second face-to-face.

Head-to-head on the island of the Yellows

Rather than organizing it immediately, the production decides to make the pleasure last. Without really understanding why, Tania and Esteban – armed with embers offered by the production – go to the former island of the Yellows, abandoned since reunification. There follows a long head-to-head of a day whose interest is difficult to grasp. In an attempt to infuse rhythm, this stay of the banished alternates with images of the main camp where the other adventurers are hungry, which is not very surprising after 34 days of deprivation.

The next day, Tania and Esteban finally leave their island as they had come to compete in the much-heralded “gladiator fight”. He will be the wisest. Like his journey, Esteban, feverish, quickly loses the test of balancing two pots filled with water. “Sad but happy”, the “ghost” of this edition does not seem very affected by his defeat. Absence of outpouring also for Tania, who nevertheless signs her second return to the adventure. Strongly the next week !
