“Kommersant” announced an increase in prices for vehicle inspection by 57% since the beginning of the year

by time news

Since January, the cost of technical inspection of passenger cars may increase by an average of 57%, Kommersant reported, citing its own calculations based on data published by the regions.

Now the results of the calculations have been published by the authorities of 45 regions. The minimum cost of maintenance is 913 rubles, it will be installed in the Oryol, Tula and Novosibirsk regions, etc. At the same time, in some regions, including the Oryol and Omsk regions, where now the minimum cost of maintenance is about 300 rubles, prices have increased by 3 and 2.4 times, respectively. In Moscow, TO will cost 913 rubles, in St. Petersburg – 1544 rubles, this is the highest marginal price among 45 regions, Kommersant clarifies.

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has previously decided that the authorities of the regions must set the maximum price for TO by December 20. The corresponding order came into force in October. The decision to raise the marginal price for maintenance services was due to an outdated calculation model that was adopted in 2012. Market participants argued that the previous tariffs did not allow for profit.

It is assumed that from next year the pricing will be updated regularly. The authorities of the region will ask maintenance operators for information on costs in order to calculate tariffs for the next year. In particular, the costs of the wage fund and the repair of equipment will be taken into account. If the authorities receive data from less than 50% of the operators, tariffs will be indexed according to inflation.
