by time news

The volume of savings of Russians in private pension funds (NPF) by the end of the first half of the year reached 3 trillion rubles, having increased by 1.7% in the first six months of 2021, follows from the calculations of Kommersant, based on the operational information of the relevant organizations.

At the same time, the number of NPF clients is decreasing. So, for the II quarter of this year, it decreased by 55,700 people. As a result, by June 30, for the first time since the beginning of 2019, the indicator dropped below 37 million.

At the same time, at the end of the second quarter, the volume of savings of clients who keep funds in the Pension Fund of Russia (PFR) exceeded 2 trillion rubles. This money is managed by the state corporation VEB.RF or private management companies (MC). The total number of such citizens exceeded 38 million. As a result, about 75 million residents of Russia at the end of the first half of the year had 5 trillion rubles. pension savings.

The decrease in the client base of both NPF and PFR is due to the deaths of citizens whose pension savings can be received by successors. Another reason is lump-sum payments to persons on pension grounds in the event of a shortage of funds on their accounts for the appointment of a funded pension. In 2021, as a result, the client base of NPFs decreased by 168,000 people.

The monetary growth of pension savings is due to the investment income received by the management company. This currently covers the outflow of funds.
