Russian figure skater Mark Kondratyuk took third place in the short program of the team tournament at the Beijing Olympics. Kondratyuk received 95.81 points. The first place was taken by the American Nathan Chen (111.71 points), the second was the Japanese Sema Uno (105.46).
Kondratyuk brought the Russian team 8 points. Team USA leads with 10 points, Japan is in second place with 9 points. The team tournament will end on February 7th.
The Beijing Olympic Games started today, February 4, and will last until February 20. At the opening ceremony later in the afternoon, the Russian team will have two flag bearers. Vladimir Putin at a meeting with the Olympians advised them to prepare for competition from China.
