Konstantin Stoilov and Luisa Bertani from “Vitosha Ski” are Bulgarian champions in the giant slalom. Stoilov was leading after the first run of today’s start for the State Championship on the excellently prepared track at the “Tomba” track in Bansko.

In the second, however, he made a mistake and finished third, but took the title, as the top-ranked Bulgarian athlete.

The winner was Hugh McAdam (Australia), and the second was Mikael Oscar Holter (Norway). Silver in the Bulgarian championship was won by Albert Popov (“Moten”), who was 0.06 behind Stoilov, although he lost to him by 1.10 seconds after the first run. The bronze went to Kalin Zlatkov (“Yulen”).

Among the women, Bertani is convincingly first. The second Annina Zurbriggen (“Vitosha Ski”) remained at 1.20 seconds, followed by Louis Jackson (Great Britain) at 1.50 seconds. For the State Championship, Elena Stoilova (“Moten”) placed third.

The organizers of the championship are BFSki and “Yulen” AD. The championship continues tomorrow with men’s and women’s slalom.
