The founder of the social kitchen, Konstantinos Polychronopoulos, gives his first answer to the accusations of money laundering.
The social kitchen’s founder made the first post after the news that he was under scrutiny by the Anti-Money Laundering Authority for fraud and money laundering “The Other Man”Konstantinos Polychronopoulos.
Mr. Polychronopoulos, through his post, states that has taken cognizance of the serious charges which are attributed both to him and to his mother and son-in-law.
Elsewhere in his submission, he clarifies that will refrain from managing the “Other Man” until he is accountable to justice.

Having been informed of the serious accusations attributed by the anti-money laundering authority to both me Konstantinos Polychronopoulos and my mother Panagoula Polychronopoulos, but also to my son-in-law Pavlos Tzitzis, I want to state that we are all able to explain our position and our action before the competent authorities. I understand that you all have reasonable questions, and would like detailed answers, but at this time I believe that justice takes priority.
In the next period, when we will be called upon to answer its unifiers, you can be sure that everything will be clarified. At the same time, I want to state that in order to facilitate the work of the social kitchen, the Other Man, I consider it self-evident to refrain from managing it for the next period, until I am accountable to justice.
The biggest blow that the social kitchen can receive is for all those who support it daily, especially its volunteers, to lose their confidence in its purpose. Those of you who support the social kitchen the Other Man, all these years still, know both our action and the way it is carried out every day.
There is nothing reprehensible that cannot be unexplained. On behalf of all of us, I want to apologize if we have caused you upset, perhaps frustration or even anger. And I want to remind you that the greatest stake at the moment is solidarity and faith in fellow man.
