According to the financial sector on the 26th, Kookmin Bank will accept applications for voluntary retirement from this day to the 31st.
Those eligible to apply for voluntary retirement are those born in 1974, which was expanded from those born in 1972 last year.
18 to 31 months’ worth of wages are paid as special severance pay. In addition, tuition support of 3.5 million won per semester per child, or 28 million won for up to 8 semesters (no limit on the number of children), or re-employment support of up to 40 million won are provided. You and your spouse will be provided with support for two years’ worth of health checkups, and you will also be provided with the opportunity to be re-employed (contract worker) after one year of retirement.
This special severance payment is at the same level as last year, and the re-employment support amount has increased from the maximum of 34 million won last year.
Kookmin Bank plans to complete the retirement process on January 18th next year.
A Kookmin Bank official explained, “We are providing the opportunity for autonomous voluntary retirement to employees who wish to plan their second lives.”
Meanwhile, 674 people left the bank on January 19 this year due to voluntary retirement implemented at the end of last year.
