Korea Exhibition Co., Ltd. (CEO: Jo Yoon-hee) announced on the 24th that it signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with TARA (CEO: Park Sa-do) for attracting investment from Saudi Arabia and local marketing in the Middle East.

Through this agreement, Korea Exhibition plans to enter the global market by investing in the Middle East and discovering local buyers for the global semiconductor manufacturing process B2B (business-to-business) platform ‘Semi-biz’ scheduled to be launched in August.

The two companies plan to lead innovation in B2B transactions in the global semiconductor manufacturing process through the ‘Semi-biz’ platform, securing △overseas buyer lists and profile information for overseas investment and local marketing, △local market research data, and △investment attraction information in the Middle East region, and through these, they plan to strengthen their competitiveness in the global semiconductor manufacturing process sector.

The ‘Semi-biz’ platform is expected to support various transactions required in the semiconductor manufacturing process and change B2B transactions in the global semiconductor industry. Through this agreement, TARA will cooperate with Korea Exhibition to support overseas investment in the Middle East and the successful establishment of ‘Semi-biz’ in the global market.

“The Middle Eastern economy has seen an increase in demand for semiconductors and electronic components in recent years due to the development of advanced technologies and smart cities,” said Jo Yoon-hee, CEO of Korea Exhibition Center. “Through our collaboration with TARA, we will expand business opportunities in the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, and grow into a platform that leads B2B transactions in the global semiconductor manufacturing process.”

Dr. Park, CEO of TARA, said, “Through cooperation with the Korea Exhibition, we will increase the competitiveness of Korean companies in the Middle East and support more Korean companies to successfully enter overseas markets.” He also said, “We will promote the growth of the ‘Semi-biz’ platform through networks with local buyers and achieve success together in the Middle East market.”

Meanwhile, Korea Exhibition is a tech exhibition company that leads the digital transformation of trade based on AI technology and big data. In addition to hosting overseas trade fairs and export consultations, it also develops industry-specific online marketplaces to create business opportunities in the global market and promote efficient transactions between companies across various industries.

TARA, which signed an agreement with Korea Exhibition, is a company specializing in local export consulting services in Saudi Arabia. As a cooperative partner of KOTRA, it conducts export marketing services such as local overseas market research, market entry, purchasing service information, Middle East investment attraction information, and global buyer matching, focusing on Korean companies.
