Korean Air operates a direct round-trip route to Lisbon three times a week. The flight numbers are KE921 from Incheon and KE922 from Lisbon to Incheon.

KE921 departs Incheon International Airport at 1:10 PM every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday and arrives at Lisbon Humberto Delgado International Airport at 8:10 PM (local time). KE922 departs Lisbon Humberto Delgado International Airport at 10:10 PM (local time) on the same day and lands at Incheon International Airport at 7:10 PM the next day. The aircraft used for the Lisbon direct route is the Boeing 787-9, which has a total of 278 seats, including 24 Prestige (Business) seats and 254 Economy seats. It is one of the new, highly efficient aircraft and provides a comfortable boarding environment.

Lisbon is the capital of Portugal, located at the end of the Tagus River, the longest river in the Iberian Peninsula. It is surprising that Korean Air has not operated a direct route to the Portuguese capital until now. In order to visit Portugal on Korean Air, you had to transfer in a neighboring country such as France or Spain. Lisbon is famous for the Jerónimos Monastery, which is a Manueline style symbolizing Portugal’s Age of Exploration, the Belem Tower, and the cute yellow trams that run through the city center. There are UNESCO World Heritage sites everywhere, making it a great travel destination for romantic sightseeing and relaxation. It is also the birthplace of egg tarts, a dessert made from eggs. It is popular as a backpacking and honeymoon destination in Korea.

A Korean Air official said, “We expect that convenience for travelers will greatly improve by connecting Lisbon, which previously required a transfer, with a direct flight,” and “Based on this new Lisbon route, we will further solidify our influence on European routes.”
