in the capital from 24 August, but keep watching your back: meet at the park, sim cards extracted from mobile phones 20 meters from where he lives. Kostya Ryzhenko, 28, who became a familiar face after the Russian occupation of Kherson on 2 March. As an anti-corruption investigative blogger on the channel Telegram Jurnko first became a reporter of the occupation (I thought it would be over soon, I made videos to tell what the Russian and Ukrainian propaganda did not say) and then into an informant of the Kiev intelligence. He speaks in Russian, through the interpreter.

When did they start targeting her?

At first I moved from house to house, I used to go around with my passport. Then I made fun of the Moscow authorities: they said they were receiving calls from Ukrainians who wanted a Russian passport, I called the head of the Administration in Crimea and told him what he could do with the passport. I was already working with Ukrainian intelligence. The Russians came looking for me, they left a note: “If you write for money let’s talk about it. If ideological we have problems ”. I destroyed my cell phone, stuffed things in a backpack and ran away. I did parkour, I know Kherson like the back of my hand.

He created a network of whistleblowers. How do you work?

There are several guerrilla groups. I can’t speak for everyone. We have some ex-soldiers, but we didn’t have explosives or weapons. We planned an operation, explaining that it was a priority to eliminate a certain individual, but intelligence said: “We don’t have the resources.” We explained that we only needed the equipment. They let us find it and we deleted it, even if not as planned (does not give details, says it would compromise colleagues, ndr). We have also provided detailed maps of Russian artillery and anti-aircraft defense.

Why did he leave?

I was too recognizable, if caught I would have betrayed the network. There is a bounty of 200 thousand rubles (3,200 euros, ndr) on my head. The intelligence advised me: the stronger the counter-offensive, the stronger the repression.

Do all collaborators deserve to die for you?

Those in power s: they swore allegiance to Ukraine and betrayed it. Some have told the Russians where former soldiers were, others have helped them to take over the businesses, still others say that everything is ok and so they dance on the corpses of people killed by the Russians.

You said that when Kherson is liberated we will see things that will make Bucha look like a quiet place for children. Why?

The difference is time. In Bucha, people were tortured for two days and then shot. Kherson dies after months of torture.
