In Kottayam, a KSRTC bus went out of control and overturned. The accident took place at Adichira near Kottayam on MC Road. (kottayam ksrtc bus overturned)
The accident took place at 2.15 am today. The bus was carrying 46 passengers at the time of the accident. Of these, 16 were injured. The super fast bus which was traveling from Thiruvananthapuram to Mattupetty was involved in the accident. The initial conclusion was that the bus had lost its brakes and lost control. The derailed bus overturned after hitting several posts on the side of the road.

Ettumanoor and Gandhinagar police immediately rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Kottayam Medical College Hospital. Since it was early in the morning, other major disasters were averted.
