Kottayam: Kanjirapalli taluk hospital doctor arrested while accepting bribe. He was arrested while taking a bribe from the patient’s relative to perform the surgery.

Later, the patient’s relatives approached the Vigilance with a complaint and demanded payment of the remaining amount. As per vigilance instructions, the patient’s son came to Dr. Sujith Kumar’s house at 5:30 this evening with the balance amount of Rs.3000.

SFI workers locked the principal of Kariyavattam College in his room

But the college council decided that the student who faced disciplinary action cannot be given administration in the college again. The SFI officers also stopped the attempt to take the principal out in the police vehicle. With this, more policemen arrived at the spot under the leadership of Kazhakootam Assistant Commissioner. SFI workers were forcibly removed. Five SFI activists were also taken into custody by the police. Three policemen were also injured in the clash. At the same time, according to the rules of the university, Rohit has the right to study again as a first year student and SFI has alleged that the principal has acted insolently.
