Koupéla, (AIB) – The 63rd National Council for the Youth of Catholic Students was held together with its 43rd national meeting, Tuesday August 27, 2024 in Koupéla, under the presidency of the Archbishop of the Diocese of Koupéla, Monsignor Gabriel Sayaogo and administration and religious authorities. The young people discussed their activities and the renewal of their office.

From 26 August to 3 September 2024, on the occasion of its 63rd national council together with its 43rd national meeting in the diocese of Koupéla, the Young Catholic Cadets will evaluate the activities of the last two years of their organization and then move on face to the renewal of their national office.

A panel was held around the theme: “Rooted in the foundation of your movement, Jecist, act, to promote the social and professional integration of young people”, which will serve as a sharing of experience on social and live integration. it together.

“We are happy, even if there are imperfections that we will take into account soon. During this week, we will be discussing the chosen theme but we will also be talking about many topics between young people that are particularly related to today’s challenges as we hope that the country will be at peace next year,” announced the president of the Catholic Student Youth, Abel Kabore.

Monsignor Gabriel Sayaogo congratulated the young people while expressing the need for young people to make their youth and their religion a tool to fight all forms of discrimination.

“You are young people and youth is the hope of a country. You must therefore make your youth work for social integration and living together, especially in a context where our country is going through a very difficult situation,” he said.

The secretary general of the province of Kourittenga, Fernand Wenceslas N’do, who represents the high commissioner, also invited all the participants to be open so that everyone could become an ambassador of peace in their area of ​​origin at the end of their departure.

“I am even happier that today it is a movement that continues to work for the noble cause of our young people. Make sure you are sheet metal workers for peace, social integration and living together,” he said.

The assembly of the national council together with the national conference of Young Catholic Students is held every year in one of the dioceses in Burkina Faso.
