Thiruvananthapuram: Action was taken against the SHO on the woman’s allegation that she tried to settle the complaint against MLA Eldos Kunnapil. Kovalam Station House Officer G Priju has been transferred. The SHO has been transferred to Pattanakkad station in Alappuzha. Instead, SHO S Bijoy of Neyyar Dam Police Station was posted at Kovalam station.

The woman lodged a complaint with the city police commissioner against Perumbavoor MLA Eldos Kunnapilil. The complaint was handed over to the Kovalam SHO. The complainant, who is a teacher, alleged that Eldos had offered Rs 30 lakhs in Kunnappilli to settle the complaint and SHO G Prize was acting as an intermediary. Action was taken against the SHO after this.

Meanwhile, the court will hear the bail plea filed by Eldos Kunnapill on Saturday. The bail application was filed in Thiruvananthapuram District Court. The Additional Sessions Court will hear the case. The police had registered a case against the MLA with non-bailable provisions on the teacher’s complaint of physical harassment. The case is being investigated by the District Crime Branch. The crime branch team recorded the woman’s statement.
