The Israeli Ministry of Health has stated that the health condition of the two patients is satisfactory and that nothing special is being done for them clinically. At the same time, it is not yet clear whether the new variant is dangerous. Experts say further study is needed.
About one million Kovid cases have been reported in Israel so far. Of these, 8,244 succumbed to the disease. It is reported that more than half of the total population receives three doses of vaccine.
The Israeli health ministry said the new variant did not show any significant differences in symptoms. They point out that sore throat and cough are the main symptoms of Omicron, which are similar to the new variants.
