Thiruvananthapuram: Kovid-19 was confirmed for 5080 people in Kerala on Sunday. It has been confirmed today that 40 deaths in the last few days have been caused by Kovid-19. In addition, 156 deaths have been reported which have been appealed by the Central Government under the new guidelines of the Supreme Court. This brings the total death toll in the state to 37,495.

53,892 samples were tested during the last 24 hours. The weekly Infection Population Ratio (WIPR) is 46 wards in 39 Local Government Areas above 10. There will be strict control here.

There are currently 1,92,768 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 1,87,604 are under home / institutional quarantine and 5164 are under hospital surveillance. A total of 269 people were newly admitted to the hospital. At present, out of 58,088 Kovid cases, only 7.2 per cent are admitted to hospitals / field hospitals.

Of those diagnosed on Sunday, 28 were from outside the state. 4776 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 252 is not clear. Twenty-four health workers were affected by the disease.

7908 people who were diagnosed and treated were cured. 58,088 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 50,04,786 people have so far been freed from Kovid.
