Kovid reported 19,968 more people in the country in the last 24 hours. The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said 11,87,766 samples were tested yesterday. The positivity rate is 1.68% and the weekly positivity rate is 2.27%.
In the last 24 hours, 48,847 people have recovered. With this, the number of people who have recovered from the disease across the country has reached 4,20,86,383. The recovery rate rose to 98.28 percent. There are currently 2,24,187 active cases.
In the last 24 hours, 673 people in the country have lost their lives to the virus. This brings the death toll from Kovid to 5,11,903. A total of 175.37 crore vaccination doses have been given so far as part of the nationwide vaccination drive.
