Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Mumbai after contracting pneumonia along with Kovid.
Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, who was admitted to the hospital following the confirmation of Kovid-19, remains under the care of specialist doctors. Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to the ICU of Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Saturday after contracting pneumonia along with Kovid.
“Lataji is being monitored,” said Dr Pratib Sandhani, head of the team of experts treating Lata Mangeshkar.
“Lataji was diagnosed with Kovid-19 and the doctors advised us to enter the ICU as she needs constant care considering her age. We could not take a chance. As a family, we want the best for them and we want to make sure they get the right medical care, ”Lata Mangeshkar’s grandson Shah told the Indian Express.
“Lataji, get well soon. The whole country is praying for your good health, ”MP Prakash Javadekar tweeted.
Lata Mangeshkar, affectionately known as ‘India’s Skylark’, started her musical career at the age of 13. In seven decades, this unique genius has been able to change the face of Indian music and inspire generations to come.
