Kozhikode student found dead; Suspected to be struck by lightning

Kozhikode: A student was found dead in Puyangadi in Kozhikode city. Initial information is that he died due to lightning. Muhammad Asain (15), a 10th class student of Karaparamp School, died.

There was heavy rain and thunder in the area on Sunday evening. It is reported that the child was struck by lightning when he was riding his bicycle to play after coming from school. The local residents saw the boy lying down and by the time he was taken to the hospital, he was dead.

No major injuries were found on the child’s body. Relatives informed that there was no illness.
