A large crowd came to Koothambalam on Layam Road, Thripunithura to pay their last respects to the late KPAC Lalitha. Filmmakers from all walks of life came to see their beloved colleague for the last time. Mallika Sukumaran was the one who made the eyes of the onlookers water. Mallika, who came with KPAC Lalitha to pay her last respects to Prithviraj, stood near her physical body. Journalists arrived with Mike just in time for the handcuffs to go back. KPAC Lalitha passed away at 10.20 last night in the flat of her son and director Siddharth’s North Fort, Tripunithura. He had been ill for a long time and was undergoing treatment. Funeral services will be held at 5 pm today at the Vadakkancherry Engakatte Orma premises. Prior to that, the body will be displayed at the Sahitya Akademi Hall.

K at Kadakkatharal house in Ramapuram, Kayamkulam, Alappuzha. She was born in 1947, the daughter of Ananthan Nair and Bhargavi Amma. At a very young age, Kalamandalam learned dance from Gangadharan. She started acting in plays at the age of 10. The first play was Geeta’s Bali. Later he joined KPAC, a prominent theater troupe in Kerala. That is how the name Lalitha was adopted. Later when he came in the film, K. P. A. C was added to the name.
