Thripunithura: The late actress KPAC Lalitha’s funeral will be held in the evening at her home in Vadakkancherry. The body, which was brought to the residence of his son Siddharth in Tripunithura on Tuesday night, will be laid to rest at the Thripunithura Layam Koothambalam from 8 am to 10.30 am today in accordance with the provisions of the Kovid Protocol.

Colleagues will have the opportunity to pay tribute. The body will then be taken to Thrissur and placed on public display at the Sangeetha Nataka Academy Hall. The funeral will be held at 4 pm at Orma’s house in Vadakkancherry.

KPAC, who was undergoing treatment for an illness, was admitted to the hospital around 10.30 pm on Tuesday. Lalitha died at the residence of her son Siddharth in Tripunithura. KPAC has acted in more than 550 films. He was the Chairperson of the Lalitha Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy.

She was born on February 25, 1947, in Kadapuram, Ramapuram, near Kayamkulam in Alappuzha district, the daughter of Ananthan Nair and her mother Bhargava V. Amma. Lalitha KPAC, who came to the stage through Changanassery Geetha, excelled in acting.

She made her silver screen debut in 1969 with Udaya’s Koottukudumbam. She married director Bharathan in 1978. His last film was ‘Bhishma Parvam’ which is about to release.
