KPCC to Organize Massive Protest Flame Against Police Actions
Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has announced plans to intensify protests against police actions amid the ongoing demonstrations against the Nava Kerala Sadas. In a press release, KPCC General Secretary TU Radhakrishnan revealed that a massive protest flame will be organized under the banner of “Fascist Vimochan Sadas” by 282 Block Congress Committees across the state.
Leading figures of the Congress party are expected to take part in the protest, with KPCC President K. Sudhakaran MP, opposition leader VD Satheesan, Congress working committee members Ramesh Chennithala and Dr. Shashi Tharoor MP, among others, confirmed to participate. The Vimochan Sadas will also see the presence of AICC office bearers from Kerala, KPCC office bearers, DCC Presidents, senior Congress leaders, as well as MPs, MLAs, and other prominent figures.
The protest is set to be inaugurated by the leaders of the 282 Block Congress Committees in the state. The decision to organize the Fascist Vimochan Sadas comes in response to the police actions during the ongoing protests and aims to convey the Congress party’s strong opposition to the government’s policies.
