jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is still investigating the alleged corruption case of the railway project at the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation.

Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) spokesperson Tessa Mahardhika Sugiarto said investigators would summon witnesses if their statements were needed in the investigation.

However, he admitted that he had not received information from investigators as to whether the Chairman of the North Sumatra Democrat DPD Muhammad Lokot Nasution (MLN) would be called again to be questioned as a witness in the case.

Moreover, after the Corruption Eradication Committee summoned the Secretary General of the PDI Perjuangan, Hasto Kristiyanto, to be questioned as a witness in the same case, considering that both of them are politicians.

“There is no information from the investigators yet,” wrote Tessa Mahardhika Sugiarto in a text message to the media who contacted her, Tuesday (23/7/2024) evening.

Regarding the question of whether there is a possibility that MLN will be summoned again considering that the alleged corruption case at DJKA is still ongoing, the spokesperson with an investigator background asked back, “Summoned again for whom?”

However, Tessa gave a new response when she was answered that she was called again to be a witness for those who were already suspects, especially since there were still demonstrations urging that MLN, who was elected as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the 2024-2029 period in the 2024 Election, be re-examined?

“They can be called, or they can’t. It depends on the investigator’s needs,” Tessa answered diplomatically.
