jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has decided to stop the investigation into the alleged bribery case in the submission of a revision of the conversion of forest functions in Riau in 2014 which ensnared the owner of the Darmex Group/ Duta Palma Group, Surya Darmadi.

The termination of this bribery case is stated in the investigation termination order (SP3) with the number Sprin.Henti.Dik/28A/DIK.00/01/06/2024 dated June 14, 2024.

In the letter, the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) stated that it had stopped the Surya Darmadi bribery case because there was insufficient evidence.

“It is hereby announced that on Friday, June 14, 2024, the investigation has been terminated due to insufficient evidence,” wrote point 2 of the SP3, quoted on Monday (12/8).

The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) argued that there was insufficient evidence to charge Surya Darmadi with Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a or Article 5 paragraph (1) letter b or Article 13 of Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 5 paragraph (1) point 1 of the Criminal Code or Article 56 of the Criminal Code.

The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) conveyed the termination of this case to Surya Darmadi through the Letter of Notification of Termination of Investigation Number B/360/DIK.00/23/06/2024.

When asked about the termination of the investigation into the Surya Darmadi case, KPK spokesperson Tessa Mahardhika confirmed it.

“If the SP3 is true. I don’t know about the letter above,” said Tessa.

In the letter, the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) stated that it had stopped the Surya Darmadi bribery case because there was insufficient evidence.
