jpnn.comWEST NUSA TENGGARA – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will investigate the legal problems that occurred in the people’s gold mining activities in the Sekotong area, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara.

Head of the KPK Region V Supervision Coordinator Task Force (Korsup) Dian Patria said that his party would go to the location to check further.

“We will try to check there later. I just happened to know this information. We will check this matter later,” said Dian as quoted on Thursday (15/8).

It is known that the problem occurred as a result of the burning of a mining camp allegedly belonging to Foreign Workers (TKA) from China on Saturday (10/8) evening.

The incident has also received a response from law enforcement officers in the area, both the TNI and Polri.

Previously, the Commander of Military Resort (Danrem) 162/Wira Bhakti Brigadier General Agus Bhakti admitted to having received information regarding the incident.

He said that this could disrupt security during the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Election contestation.

Agus Bhakti said he would follow up on this issue through coordination with all officials of the regional leadership coordination forum (forkopimda).
