jpnn.com – SERANG – The General Elections Commission (KPU) has yet to receive a letter of dismissal from two recently inaugurated DPRD members for the 2024-2029 period.
The Banten KPU is still waiting for their dismissal letters, as a requirement to participate in the 2024 Regional Head Elections (Pilkada).
The two legislative members, namely PDIP politician Ade Sumardi, are running as potential candidates for deputy governor of Banten.
Then Golkar Party politician Fitron Nur Ikhsan who advanced as a prospective candidate for Regent of Pandeglang.
Banten Province KPU Technical Division Member Akhmad Subagja said the letter of dismissal from the Indonesian Minister of Home Affairs was one of the nomination requirements.
Akhmad said that all the required documents for prospective regional head candidates in Banten to take part in the regional elections had been fulfilled.
“It only remains for the decree to dismiss Mr. Fitron and Ade Sumardi as elected DPRD members, that’s all. That is the domain of the Ministry of Home Affairs,” he said.
Akhmad said the Banten KPU had received a decree dismissing elected DPRD member 2024-2029 Andra Soni from the Ministry of Home Affairs. Andra is running as a prospective candidate for Governor of Banten.
